My goal is to train so that I can finish Ironman Florida '14 in under 10 hours. I finished in 10:12 and 10:14 respectively in '08 and '09. I haven't finished an Ironman since. I don't train like I used to. Not even close. Don't plan on it either. But think based on experience and a base built up over several years now, it is attainable. I plan to swim in 1:10; ride 5 hours, and run 3:40. This is my journey....

Saturday: 41 mile bike; 5 mile run.
I have been studying my training log from last year. I was in damn good shape; makes me nervous about this year.
41 mile bike. ~185w. 2+ hours.
5 mile run.

dude...don't pull a lucho...stay focused...your running is much better this year at this point...biking is better too...last year you were not sure on how to use your bike power and often complained that you were listless...this year you are stronger and mentally better...
if i were u...i would get to the pool more between now and the race and continue with these 10-12 mile runs every other day or so...
also dont lose too much weight...none of the best ironman athletes were as thin as u were last year
I plan on doing 5-6 x 310-330w as I get closer to the race. But yes, as I now start to enter my Specialization Period, I wil be doing more interval workouts.

Shouldn't you be doing 6 x 20 minutes at 320 to 340 watts.
